What is it? A type of Quartz that ranges from very light, almost white pink to darker shades of pink.The pink colour comes from traces of the mineral dumortierite.

Where is it found? Rose Quartz is quite abundant and is found in many places but most comes from Brazil. Very clear pieces are rarer and more expensive.

How tough is it? Pretty tough - 7/10 on the Mohs scale.
