Abundance-attracting Jade is one of my favourite stones for manifesting! Read on to find out why...

In The Crystal Magic Tarot, I linked Jade to The Magician card as they both have similar wisdom to offer. The Magician asks you to lean on your skills, experience and strengths and to have confidence in yourself and your ability to create. Jade gives you that confidence and connects you with your own talent, unique skills and abilities by helping to really know yourself, and therefore to be yourself. This authenticity brings prosperity and abundance, luck and fortune in the best possible way, through your own imagination and skill.

What is it?

Many cultures once used the word Jade to refer to any green, jade-ish kinda stone, however, in modern terms 'Jade' encompasses just two mineral species: jadeite and nephrite. Both jadeite and nephrite are metamorphic rocks, both are known for their lush green colour, (although jadeite can occur in other colours like yellow, white and even black) and both have the same crystalline system but differ in their chemical composition. Jadeite jade is a little harder, nephrite jade is a little softer (better for carving, so most carved jet you see is nephrite jade).

Where is it found?

Jadeite is predominantly found in Myanmar (formerly Burma), while Nephrite is distributed in various regions, including China, Russia, Canada, and New Zealand. These geographical variations contribute to the diversity in the appearance and quality of jade gemstones.

How tough is it?

Jade has gained a reputation for being an exceptionally tough and durable gemstone. On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, jadeite ranges from 6.5 to 7, while nephrite ranks slightly lower at 6 to 6.5. Although not as hard as diamonds or rubies, jade's toughness makes it resistant to breakage and suitable for intricate carvings and jewellery designs.

In Chinese mythology, jade is considered the "stone of heaven" and holds significant spiritual and cultural importance. It is believed to connect its wearer with the energies of nature and the universe, fostering a deep sense of connection and balance.

Cleanse it with:

To keep jade's energy pure and vibrant, it is recommended to cleanse it regularly. One popular method is to place the jade under running water to wash away any accumulated negative energies.
